Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King is tired of being the scariest Halloween skeleton year after year. He longs for something. Sally is in love with him, but she belongs to her evil scientist creator who keeps her prisoner. Jack is sucked by magic into Christmas Town. He decides to bring Christmas to Pumpkin Town.
It’s clever and amusing at times but also silly and very, very Christmassy. I really don’t like Christmassy things. I’m a bit of a Scrooge.
It’s far from Tim Burton’s finest creation. I don’t think this will become a Christmas Eve classic chez Ruby and Hal. Sorry, JS.
