My expectations on this film are about a millimetre above zero. But I bought it, thinking it was something else (I don’t even remember what) so I might as well try it.
It’s London anyway. Always a plus.
Joey, kid brother of ex-street brawler Danny (Adkins) is killed in his own gang fight. Danny starts a gang war. It’s vengeful, brutal, ultra-macho and stupid. Groooooooan! Macho is sooooooo boring! The love story between Adkins and Clarke only makes it worse.
BOOOOOORING! Is it possible to die of boredom? If I wasn’t so tired, I would just switch it off.
This film actually won awards. Not, as one would think, for the most boring film ever made, but for the best action film of the year.
They have got to be kidding.
