  • Seen:  15 October 2022

After an all-night shift, NYPD Detective Jack Mosley (Willis) is sent on a mission to escort a witness, Eddie (Mos), to court. Sixteen blocks. Quick and easy job.

       Yeah, right.

Bad cops, with Jack’s old partner Frank (Morse) in the lead, intervene and suddenly Jack has to get sober and make a moral decision.

It’s standard stuff but I like Mos Def and he’s great as the sweet-hearted chatter box criminal. Bruce Will can be a good actor and he can be a bad actor. Here he’s good. David Morse does his usual smiling good guy who’s obviously too friendly to be anything but the villain, chewing gum. Doesn’t David Morse always chew gum?

It’s decent Saturday evening entertainment, although the women could have been given bigger roles because they were quite good too.
