             The year is 2079 but, believe me, the set-up looks more like 2379. I mean, 2079 is only 45 years away. Sure, the Centaurions might attack us in that time and Earth will be at global war with the aliens and will have settlements on asteroids and the whole world will be domed against attack from outer space. But probably not.

       Never mind. Let’s just watch the film.

       Our hero Spencer (Sinise) is a scientist but the military leadership on Earth believe he’s been taken over by the aliens to kill everybody. Maybe he has been, he doesn’t know for sure himself. But he’s escaped and is on the run.

       So, is he human, or an android who thinks he’s human? If this sounds familiar it might be because it too is based on a story by Philip K Dick, and it is definitely a Blade Runner wannabe.

       I think Blade Runner is overrated too. But like BR, it has some nice visuals.
