    Boy Hero (Bruno) is being raised by his grandmother (Spencer). They encounter witches. This is evidently a re-make, I have neither seen the original nor read the book. Some people hate it, others don’t. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either. Hathaway is fun as the over-the-top head witch. Spencer is fun as the music-loving (great music!) granny.
    It’s entertaining enough for a Halloween evening.
