George (Costner) and Margaret (Lane) live
with their grandson and widowed daughter-in-law Lorna (Carter) on a ranch in
Montanta. Lorna remarries. Her husband
is abusive and forces her and the boy to return to his family in North Dakota.
Margaret and George go after them and it
turns ugly. It’s suspenseful for a while but ends up being one of those films
about senseless evil violent people who attack the good and righteous.
Lesley Manville is good but why did she want to be in this unlikely and unpleasant film?
