       Are Roméo (Ekaïm) and Juliette (Donzelli) doomed to tragedy? Ils ne savant pas but they fall happily in love and have a lovely little son Adam (Dessaix and Ekaïm). Life is good then Adam is diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour. Their lives are torn apart, everything centres around Adam, the treatments, the hospitals, the strain and worry.

       Oddly enough it’s humorous at times, with a lot of music and laughing and loving. But mostly it’s a film about two young people dealing day after day after month after year with the unbearable.
