The Kim
family of four are grifters. Poor but clever, happy together, and quick to take
advantage when opportunity comes knocking. In fact, willing and eager to
manipulate opportunity in order for all of them to get jobs with the rich Park
family, in desperate need of an English tutor for their daughter, art therapist
for their son, chauffer for the father, housekeeper for the mother. The Kims
are delighted with their easy gigs.
And then…
This is
one of the most bizarre films I’ve ever seen but also one of the most
fascinating. It’s quite funny too, with some astute observations on class
differences. Who are the parasites? You might well ask.
Yes, it’s worth the Oscars and all the other accolades. See it.
