    • Rupert Evans – American Pastoral, A Midsummer Night’s Dream re-told
    • Gwyneth Keyworth – Misfits, Case Studies
    • Stephen Mackintosh – Rocketman, Luther, Robot Overlords, The Thirteenth Tale, Underworld etc, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Our Mutual Friend, Twelfth Night, Prick Up Your Ears
  • Why?  Possibly interesting
  • Seen:  1 June 2023

Teen-aged Elfie (Winstone) and her friend Dylan (Barnard) like to smoke weed, ridicule her rich neighbours who hunt endangered animals, and investigate mysteries in their village. When new, and very peculiar, neighbours move in, they get more than they had bargained on.

The whole film is peculiar. But charming. A twisted British version of Veronica Mars with a hint of the supernatural, and rather a lot more gore and violence. But it’s quite sad too.

Not a film for everyone but from me a strong

3 ½ * of 5
