There are many reasons why nuclear power
is a disastrous idea. Earthquakes and tsunamis are among them.
Despite the drama and fear of the real
event, the film itself is rather boring. It’s chaotic (which is reasonable)
with a lot of shouting by characters we don’t get to know or care about, and a
myriad of technical details. If you want the story of what actually happened,
Google it.
It doesn’t directly deal with the question of nuclear power’s to be or not to be, but it hints at nature being stronger than human folly and glimpses of wind turbines and solar cells in the closing credits might be a subtle message. But our planet doesn’t have time for subtlety, does it?
