From the title one might guess that there are also princes, romance, sword fights and all that. One would be right. Also, villains and danger and adventure. It’s all narrated by Granddad (Falk) to a sick grandson, which is annoying from start to finish.

I don’t see why my nerdy friends and almost everyone on IMDb like this. There’s far too much heroic deeds of derring-do and dewy-eyed damsel in distress for me.

It’s said to be a parody, a comedy. But why parody such a dull story and what’s funny about it? It’s dull, as well as tediously male-dominated.

Nope. Not for me. Sorry, nerdy friends.
