Lola’s (Potenta) idiot criminal boyfriend (Bleibtreu) loses 100,000 marks and his gangster boss is going to kill him if he doesn’t get the money back by noon, in twenty minutes. Lola promises she’ll fix it and starts running.

Her first plan doesn’t work. Rewind. Her second plan doesn’t work. Rewind. Her third plan…

Lots of music, many flashbacks, too many side stories.

Many reviewers on IMDb – almost all – are absolutely lyrical – 9*, 10*, ‘best film’ etc.

Sure it’s colourful and crazy but the characters are thick and unlikeable and the story is altogether ridiculous.

Far from 9* or 10* it’s more like 4*, or on my scale

2* of 5
