        Virginia USA 1958. Mildred (Negga) and Richard (Edgarton) love each other and get married, thus breaking the law and becoming criminals. Why? She’s black and he’s white.

       They are exiled to Washington DC, have three children, and with the help of ACLU, sue the state of Virginia.

       Low-keyed but intense, very well acted and based on a true story. Sometimes painful to watch, but very good.
