A French judge (Lucini) recognises a jury
member (Knudsen) as the doctor who had treated him several years before. He was
in love with her then. They meet, not illegal but unethical for judge and jury
member to socialise privately.
That’s one part of the story. The other
part is the trial itself of a young man accused of kicking his baby to death.
It jumps back and forth, giving an impression of poor editing and lack of focus. The acting is good but there is little substance to the story.
