1941. The Nazis invade Belarus. Thousands
of Jews are murdered or transported to the camps. Three brothers (Bell,
Schreiber and Craig) take to the woods and to their dismay hundreds of Jewish
refugees – men, women, old, young – flock to them. They are faced with
starvation, illness, inner conflicts and the constant threat of the Nazis and
collaborators. Some of them fight back, they all keep moving to survive.
It’s not a perfect film. But it’s strong.
